Regional Foot and Ankle Medical Center has provided treatment for the injured athlete, no matter what age, over the last 28 years. We have provided services as a team physician for local high schools and colleges. Olympic and professional athletes coming from afar have been seen for consultation and treatment in our clinic.

We provide physical therapy, pain management, and evaluate accurately any nerve damage that occurs in the lower extremity. To perform the nerve evaluation, we use the quantitative sensory testing (QST), neurosensory and motor testing (NMT), with pressure-specific sensory devise (PSSD).

One of the most common injuries seen in sports medicine is the ankle injury. Many times, the ankle injury is diagnosed as a minor sprain, which actually turns out to be not only an injury to the ligaments leaving the ankle unstable but also actual injuries to the nerves in the lower extremity. When this occurs, the patient is in constant pain and cannot return to the sports field at the level at which they were used to playing. Regional Foot and Ankle Medical Center, under the guise of the Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery, provides care for the unstable ankle and injured nerves.
